Post Mount Installation

Measure and place center marks on the deck apart where the bottom mounts will be placed. Using 4 ¼ carriage bolts, drill the top mount brackets into the deck being sure they are perfectly parallel to the edge.

Lay out the post and railing making sure that corner post are at every corner. End posts must go against a wall or any point your deck ends. Center posts are placed in-between the end and corner post.

At any point a water channel meets a post you need to caulk the seams to avoid water leaking down the post and under your deck.
Insert each post into its corresponding mount. Starting with the first post disconnect the post mounts and insert them into either the top or bottom bars of the railing. Connect them to the railing via ½? screws through the holes in the post mounts. After attaching all 4 post mounts to the railing, mount railing and post mounts back to the posts at their original location and reinsert the screws. Repeat until all mounts and post are installed.

Place decorative caps on the top of all posts.
